I remember cutting and pasting as a child, spending hours taking bits and pieces of different materials and rearranging them into something else. I was always attracted to the unusual and found that making my own clothes and accessories was deeply satisfying. Making jewelry was another avenue for my creative spirit.
Beadwork and jewelry for me are highly symbolic. Taking unrelated items and arranging them into a cohesive whole is a reflection of life, the way different experiences come together to make us what we are.
I took my first class with wire six years ago and fell in love with the feel of the metal and the grand results that can be obtained. I have taken classes with local and national jewelry artists and constantly seek to improve my skills and take my art to an ever higher level.
I hope you enjoy these pieces as much as I do!
I need to thank all my instructors over the years, the bead workers, wire artists, photographers, shop owners, students and other jewelry artists who have all given me invaluable lessons. This would not be posssible without you!
