I teach classes at my home studio and in Annapolis at The Bead Bungalow.

 

I will also bring my tools and supplies to your home so you can have a jewelry making party with your friends!

Classes are limited to 6 participants so that everyone  will get individualized attention.

 Basic Metal:

Heat Patinated Pendant

Shape and texture mixed metal pieces then heat treat the copper, brass, and nickle silver to achieve permanent color changes. Assemble the components in a unique pendant which can be placed on your own chain, cord or neckwire.

Basic Wire Wrapping:

Wrapped and Beaded Earrings

Learn to make and utilize a double coil to embelish a gorgeous pair of dangle earrings. Perfect your skill in wrapping single and double coils and combine small sections to build the design using small stones and spacers.

Intermediate Wire Work:

Horseshoe Link Charm Bracelet

Wrap wire and shape links that you will connect with hand made jumprings. Shape and harden a toggle clasp and form a few basic dangles. Your own charms can be added later to personalize your bracelet.

Basic Metal:

Mixed Metals Earrings

Start with copper or brass sheet metal and wire, hardware store washers and some basic findings and go home with three pairs of contemporary earrings. Learn to texture, drill and finish flat surfaces, make ear wires and combine metals to create this collection. The use of multiple metals in the kit provided will allow you to to plan your own shapes and combinations.

Wrap, coil and texture wire to suspend a large focal bead. Turn tubing into beads and combine the elements to

hang on your own chain, cord or neckwire

Wiggle Stick Earrings

Manipulate wire and add wrapped and beaded links and drops to build earrings with lots of movement.

S - Link Necklace

Wrap loops on the ends of a dozen bead connectors and put them together with hammered s-links into this simple but elegant 20 inch necklace. Coordinate the look with a beaded clasp to match!

Learn to twist, wrap and and coil thin wire to make components. Add in some purchased beads and link sections together into a quick and easy bracelet

Basic Wire:

Beaded Choker

A few simple beads and spacers center this quick and simply 18 inch choker. A focal bead anchors the wrapped loop component and simple twisted links make the basic chain. Project includes a swan style clasp to hold it all together. Length can be adjusted by adding additional links, additional wire will be required.

Intermediate Wire:

Fetish Pendant

Start by wrapping the basic pendant and experiment with some design options. Move on to make multiple wire and bead dangles for embellishments, then form connector links to add your charms and dangles to the pendant.

Gang of Chains

In this fun class, students will learn to shape, texture, embellish and harden lengths of wire to make a sampling of different chains. Make links that include beads to add more texture! Different clasps will be taught to complete each style and students will complete at least one bracelet length in class and be able to add additional lengths on their own.

Basic Cords

Learn to calculate materials needed  and twist and fold fibers to build hand made cording that can be used to hang your favorite pendant or showcase a special bead. Students will learn the basics of cordmaking and different techniques for finishing the ends and making basic clasps.

Wrapped Link Bracelet

Learn to join wrapped loops and make a toggle to connect round gemstones and spacer beads into a comfy, custom fitted bracelet.

Basic Wire:

Exclusively Ear Wires

Never buy another pair! Working with  half hard wire and starting with basic hooks, we will make a few different pairs to master the basics, then move on to make as many variations as possible. Students will leave class with several pairs of ear wires waiting for embelishment with your own dangles.
